Boston North Station

The station is located under TD Garden at 135 Causeway Street in Boston, MA.

The train concourse and boarding area is open daily from 5:00am to 12:00am with access to an Amtrak self-service ticketing kiosk, public restroom, and a variety of retail businesses and food options. Ticket Agents are available approximately 1 hour before departures.

TD Garden is home to the Celtics and the Bruins, as well as a whole calendar of musical acts and other events. You can walk to the North End, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, the New England Aquarium, the Museum of Science, and other famous Boston attractions—all within 15 minutes of North Station.

Yes. Boston’s Orange and Green lines are accessible across the street from TD Garden.

Yes, at Back Bay Station. Follow the pedestrian concourse to the MBTA Subway (Orange and Green Lines). Take the Orange Line subway inbound from North Station six stops to Back Bay Station to connect with all other Amtrak and Acela trains. MBTA Charlie Cards (subway tickets) are available for sale in the Downeaster Cafe.

Five northbound and five southbound Amtrak Downeaster trains stop in Boston every day. An alternate northbound “Event Nite” train runs from Boston to all points north on select evenings to help riders get home after big sports games and concerts. Weekend and holiday schedules may vary.
