Self-Guided Foliage Tour – Boston, MA

Extend your leaf peeping adventure city wide. The Public Garden is typically where you can find the first signs of fall as the colors begin to splash about the Japanese Maple Trees. The footbridge across the lagoon offers the opportunity to submerge yourself in historic charm, foliage and discovery. Learn about the species of foliage by locating the brass label with the botanical name under the trees.

In the Boston Common, enjoy hundreds of trees spotted in color across a 44-acre plot of land. A Historic setting and celebration for Bostonians. Trees tend to change a little later in the season here. Enjoy this picture-perfect spot in November as well.

The Amtrak Downeaster will drop you off and pick you up right at TD Garden, at Boston’s North Station. Conveniently located on the green line, you can access the back bay on foot and enjoy your self-guided foliage tour and return when you prefer. Our flexible schedule and five round-trips daily give you many options and allow you to create the itinerary you want.

Insider Travel Tip
