Discount Program for Schools
The Downeaster Discovery Field Trip Program allows school and youth groups to travel on the Downeaster for a deeply discounted price, round-trip! Onboard, kids can move around, socialize, and grab a snack from the Downeaster Café. Teachers can organize activities and games to make the train part of the learning experience!

Requests must be made two weeks prior of intended travel. Group pricing is reserved for 15 or more passengers only. Discounts offered vary by travel date, train, and availability. Amtrak policy states all groups must have 1 Adult chaperone per every 6 minors (under 18 y/o).
