Track Work to impact Downeaster Service – April 24-27
Due to scheduled trackwork by the MBTA, Amtrak Downeaster trains will operate with bus service between Boston North Station (BON) and Woburn, MA (WOB) from Friday, April 24 through Monday, April 27, 2026. Although trains may appear to operate the full route on Amtrak.com, customers traveling between BON and WOB will ride an Amtrak‑provided motor coach during this period.
Northbound
- All trains will originate at Woburn (WOB) instead of Boston North Station (BON).
- Customers departing from Boston North Station (BON) will board Amtrak-chartered motor coaches at Boston North Station (BON) and transfer to trains at Woburn (WOB) to continue travel to all stations north.
Southbound
- All trains will terminate at Woburn (WOB) instead of Boston North Station (BON).
- Customers traveling to Boston North Station (BON) will board Amtrak-chartered motor coaches at Woburn (WOB) to continue travel to Boston North Station (BON).
